AP Monthly Competition – October 2013

The theme this month was ‘The Old and the New’ and since it has been a busy month there are only two possibilities and both are from the archive.

I’m going to go with the architectural shot as there is more of a contrast between the new sculpture and the old bridge in the background.

AP Monthly Competition – September 2013

This months competition is ‘Reach for the Skies’

The sky is big. Your imagination is bigger. Skies and skylines are the gifts that keep on giving. You have many options here. Angle your camera upwards, create a pan-stitch, look out over the city skyline from the tallest building you can get legal access to or fill the frame with the bruised winter clouds – just as long as the sky is involved in some way.

I’ve quite a few from the archive and some newer ones, so here we go. Still not made my mind up though I’m leaning towards one of the first three, all from Newcastle.

AP Monthly Competition – April 2013

Another month, another forum competition. This months theme is “Framing the Shot” – using a frame, natural or otherwise to make the shot.

These are my thoughts so far…

Three are from the Hepworth Gallery in Wakefield, I liked the way the windows framed people looking out.

Will still try to see if I can get a shot to the brief made this month.
